Hello everyone!

Thank you for your continued prayers! Many things have happened this past week and there will definitely be trials to come but we trust without a doubt that the Lord will lead us and see us through.

This past week we worked with North Taichung again and it has really been a blessing and awesome opportunity to work with the coworkers and kids there. Because we’ve worked with this church for years, they were very familiar with how we run camps, which helped us a lot! The kids were occasionally somewhat difficult to work with and rowdy, but were still very eager to play with us big brothers and sisters. Many parents were also interested in what we had to say as Christians and were amazed about how we could show such compassion and love to others, even when it seemed like the children were hard to love or when times were rough. Some of our team members had the chance to share their testimonies, and as a team, we could see the way God worked through this camp to reach those who are struggling.

We held an evangelical outreach at night on the second day and house visited three families the third day of camp, which were all successful! By the end of camp, it was a bittersweet goodbye for all of us. Some of the kids were a bit naughty and didn’t necessarily experience the attention they needed at home, so by the end of camp, everyone could see the difference in them through how God’s love radiated from us to the kids; some were even reluctant to leave the camp.

For many members, this camp was their first, and despite encountering difficulties that come with teaching for the first time, we’ve truly experienced the goodness of God in providing for us and comforting us in reminding us that He is always in control. Through challenges such as classroom management, language barriers, and sickness, God has proved his sovereignty and love again and again.

Our upcoming camps will be South Taichung and Luodong High School. We have worked with SouthTaichung before and tomorrow (7/6) will be the first day of camp. The camp will have approximately one hundred kids so please pray for the camp to reach the kids’ hearts and for the Lord’s love to shine.

The other team will be in Luodong. This year will be our first year working with this church and this school, so please pray that our interactions with them will be positive and fruitful. Please keep them in your prayers for their cooperation and open-mindedness!

Please also pray for the health of our team members. Many have been getting sick and people were shuffled around between the Zhubei and Taichung camp in order to account for some sicknesses. Enoch is also in the hospital due to complications with his eye, so please pray for quick healing. Additionally, a typhoon is scheduled to hit sometime this week during the Luodong High School camp, and is expected to hit that area rather hard, so please keep the camp in your prayers.

Thank you so much for the continued prayers and love,
