The elementary school had about 60 kids, and we were paired with the same church. Our contact with the school didn’t like us very much at first, as he thought that the camp would be a waste of time, but he grew to be okay with us. We had some very loud kids that enjoyed fighting and arguing a lot, some potty-mouth kids, as well as some very sassy kids in the older class. In general though, they were pretty well behaved and the camp ran pretty smoothly. Many of our team members were placed in their off-roles giving us more experience in different areas, and we had 4 house visits during the camp. Many parents came to the final performance, and the local church is going to host many events for the kids. The pastor’s wife is planning to host art classes for the kids, so hopefully the kids will be going to the church more often.
